If it weren't for bad luck...

On Monday our sump pump stopped working...$400.

On Thursday we received an unexpected bill from the last cycle...$900.

All week our accounting systems have been royally screwed up during period end close and people have been yelling at me for things that are totally beyond my control.

And then today...today was the best. Tony has been parking in the driveway because half the garage is filled with overflow from the house decluttering. TODAY I HIT TONY'S CAR WITH MY CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I'm starting to think that the universe owes me something.

Here are a few suggestions:

1. My office decides to adopt flex time and my boss acutally lets me take advantage of it by working four days a week.

2. We get a reasonable offer on the house.

3. I win a free vacation to somewhere tropical.

(Notice I did not list "surprise pregnancy". That just seems too far out of the realm of possibility.)

Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. Is it the weekend yet?

Ugh! I really hope all of this is leading up to a really fun and relaxing weekend for you. Wine, anyone??

Oh, geezy weezy. I hate unexpected bills from the RE's office. Kind of like what's the point, right? Sorry things are stupid and crappy right now. I guess at least it's Friday. And the car thing, totally sounds like something I would do. Hope the damage isn't too bad.

Hugs. XXXX

Oh for fuck's sake... you really have had an astoundingly lousy week. I think you deserve all of your ideas, plus a couple of other nice things just to get the universe back in balance.
I hope the weekend treats you better.

Crap. Is there much damage to the cars? I drove in to my husband's car a couple of months ago while I was rushing out to work. Luckily there wasn't much damage.
I hope things get better!

Well, DANG! It would be funny if it were, you know, funny. Here's hoping things turn around.

Damn girl, that's crappy week for the record books.

I have a friend named Vodka who might help you forget about it though. He should be at your house around 6:30.

Bottoms up.

OK I am so sorry for all that crap. And I have to tell you that we are really getting too eerily similar...many years ago my husband and I got in an accident WITH EACH OTHER. He rear-ended me and both our cars were damaged. I mean, seriously?

I hope some of your surprise happy things happen soon!

That is a BAD week. I don't see why you shouldn't get all of the items on your list, frankly. Here's to next week!
