No Olympics For Me

As of this morning I am officially no longer eligible for Olympic competition.

This morning I injected myself with human growth hormone (HGH).

I have to admit (somewhat ashamedly) that I really don't know much about it. All I know is that it is supposed to help. I'm too tired to be my own advocate anymore; studying and researching. My RE suggested it. He says that studies show that it helps one in eight times; a twelve and a half percent chance of helping. Ten shots all at a bargain price of $1600.

I am trying to GROW A HUMAN. So maybe it makes sense to inject HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE?

Anyway...the speed skating team will have to go on without me.

Throw in some anabolic steroids and, dude, you will be all buff.

Hope this is *the* cycle, and glad that you have resolved to make this the last one. That's no easy feat and my hat's off to you for getting to that place.

Good luck!

...makes perfect sense to me. May the HGH live up to it's promises.

Crap. I was so looking forward to seeing you in the Olympics. Oh well, I'm with Murgdan - hope it lives up to its promises.

It's a shame really. I thought that you had one more Olympics in you before you turned pro!

Here's hoping the HGH helps with everything. Best Wishes!

Time to take whatever they have going. And HGH is at least a little different.

I always said stupid things like "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry" and did my best Hulk impression when using the human growth hormone! Anything to get us through these cycles, right?

HA! That's what they give people with dwarfism in adolescence to make them grow taller, or something, right? Does it have that effect in adulthood? You should at least try lifting some weights while you're on it - if I can't have a kid, I wouldn't mind being taller and diesel as a consolation prize (rather than, at current count, having a lower metabolism, messed-up digestion, and ten extra pounds).

I have read your blog for awhile and I haven't ever commented, but I had to today...
you are an incredible writer and your posts bring both sorrow and laughter to the reader.
I am on this journey too and have mirrored many of your thoughts and struggles.
There may not be a place for you in the Olympics, but there's a place for you in all of the hearts you have touched... HGH or not, you are in like Flynn!!
Wishing you all the best and I wish I knew you in person!
